Laia

My name is Laia Puig (spiritual name Layakari), and I was introduced to yoga as a parallel practice of my dance career in 1998.

However, it wasn’t until I took a Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training in 2008 in South India that my real initiation into Yoga started, with growing passion.

Since then, I have been practicing regularly asanas, pranayama and meditation, reading spiritual literature and trying to understand and bring consciousness in my daily life; as well as teaching it to groups and in private classes.

I took further trainings in Yoga prenatal, postnatal and for Kids, Yoga and stress management, Yoga of the Heart. I participated in different other trainings for Yoga teachers on alignment, Yoga and Alexander technique and many other topics. I specially learned a lot doing service as a translator for Sivananda courses and teachers trainings in Europe and in India. I also started studying in depth Yoga anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff.

A few years ago I completed a training on Ayurvedic Massage, including a couple of special trainings on pregnancy Ayurvedic massage.

I give regularly weekly classes, beginner’s courses, massages and treatments. I have taught for several years Yoga at the Fine arts museum in Brussels. I regularly teach Yoga for dancers at P.A.R.T.S. and Rosas (Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker) and I taught Pierre Droulers dance company. I love teaching yoga in offices and giving private Yoga sessions. I have also given Yoga retreats in Spain, Yoga days, Meditation courses and other special events.

I feel very grateful to have the challenge to be on the path and to pass it to others. Join me us in the journey and start feeling better
