Health is wealth, peace of mind is happiness, Yoga shows the way

I am teaching Yoga inspired by the Sivananda teaching of Yoga of Synthesis, through five basic principles that can easily be incorporated into our own lifestyle to provide the foundation for healthy living:

Proper Exercise  –Asanas- increases blood circulation, flexibility and strength, as well as keeping the joints lubricated. The asanas not only produce physical benefits, but are also mental exercises in concentration and meditation, promoting optimum good health.

Proper Breathing -Pranayama- through specific breathing techniques the nervous system and minds relax, and we connect the body to the solar plexus, where tremendous potential energy is stored, and this energy is released for physical and mental rejuvenation.

Proper Relaxation -Savasan- is a vital part of keeping the body and mind healthy. By relaxing deeply regularly, the body mind and spirit can get the necessary rest and recharge, avoiding accumulations of tensions and stresses that may lead to diseases.

Proper Diet –Vegetarian- is eating with awareness. We learn to make more conscious choices not only for our own health but as well for the collective, having a positive impact on our environment.

Positive Thinking and Meditation -Vedanta and Dhyana- helps us to keep a good mental hygiene. Meditation is well-known to improve concentration, to bring peace of mind and spiritual strength. Meditation is beneficial for everyone, especially those with a hectic, stressful life.
